It is our deep desire that your first visit to Elim Grace is positive, encouraging, and welcoming. To that end, we’d like to give you a quick summary of what you may expect when you stop by. What to Wear. Our church family comes together with no formal dress code. Some enjoy the opportunity to dress to the nines while others prefer the comfort of the casual clothes they wear every day.
Service Times. We offer two Sunday services @ 9am and @ 10:30am In between the Sunday morning services you’re invited to enjoy conversation, coffee, and donuts in our lobby.
The Drive. We are located across the street from the river at 340 West 1st Street in Oswego, NY.
Upon Arrival. The first row of parking is reserved for you, our guest. A friendly Service Hosts will meet you at the door. Feel free to ask questions! We’ll gladly answer any of your questions and show you around Elim Grace.
The Worship. The people of Elim Grace are of all ages with differing styles and tastes in music which we consider to be a good thing! As a result, the songs we incorporate into our services range from contemporary worship, Elim original songs, to traditional hymns. During this time we encourage you to participate as you feel comfortable – whether by standing and singing, jumping, clapping or by sitting and reflecting. Pastor Joe will definitely encourage you to sing boldly!
Prayer, Offering & Announcements. In each service we take a few moments to share upcoming events in our church and the community. We also provide information on how to give tithes and offerings. We encourage you to feel no obligation to give and simply take note of any upcoming activities our church is offering which you might be interested in participating. Additionally, we encourage the whole congregation to take about 5 minutes to pray before the sermon.
Elim Kids. We love to see families singing praises to Jesus together. That’s why our children’s eduction starts after the singing stops. At that time, we will release the children to make their way to their respective age appropriate Elim Kids programs. To learn more about our children’s ministry visit our Elim Kids page.
The Message. Our intent in preaching is to exegete the scriptures faithfully, to speak the whole council of the Word of God, and exalt Jesus Christ as savior and Lord.
Following the Service. Immediately following the message there is opportunity for anybody who would like personal prayer. When the service concludes you are welcome to stay and make some new friends before you head out for the rest of your day’s activities. On your way out, we encourage you to introduce yourself to our Pastoral staff. Pastors Jonathan, Bill, and Joe are happy to make time for guests.
