Buckle in dear reader, we’re going to talk about the gift of tongues in today’s sermon.  To the wider secular culture across the globe, speaking in tongues is something that can make Christians appear very strange and frankly, a little crazy.  Within the church the gift of tongues is often a lightning rod for division.  On one side there are those who claim the gift is gone.  There is no need for tongues and thus anyone operating in this gift is misguided.  ON the other hand, there are pentecostals who believe that if the gift of tongues is a litmus test for salvation itself.  That’s quite a gap to bridge.
