When you hear the word God, what and who do you imagine? The word almost visibly bubbles over with meanings, definitions, and ideas. Pastor Jonathan Evans entreats us to view God as His Word describes him. He is not an Incomprehensible Mind of impersonal Philosophical definitions: some transcendent and all powerful being beyond reach. That certainly is true insofar as God is omnipotent, omniscient and transcendent; He is outside of creation and beyond the discoverability of our scientific knowledge. Yet in the gospels, Jesus teaches His disciples to think of and pray to God as something far more personal and knowable.  Jesus teaches that we should understand that God, the creator of all things, is a loving Heavenly Father.
