The Church is God’s idea. Paul was a “Jew of Jews” yet found himself sent out to the gentiles.  He was sent far and then farther across the seas to worlds outside of his own to build the Church of Christ Jesus.

Just as God took an enslaved people from Egypt and built a nation, in Thessalonians we see God, through his apostle, calling a people to himself from all walks of life and from many nations to become his Church.
