We serve a God who works. Throughout history mankind has explored the multitudinous works of God with art and science. All of creation presents staggering beauty and puts on display the awe inspiring creativity of God.
Our own work, however, is far from beautiful. Our work is more often described as difficult, tedious, and tiring. Often we work from necessity toward adequacy.
God intended for mankind to work. He has created, from the very beginning, opportunities for us to work alongside him in creation and His kingdom.
With a heavenly perspective even what appears as unimportant, unpleasant, and toilsome work there is beauty. There is beauty in using the creation gifts and talents God has given us. Beauty and joy exist in working to provide for our families.
There is beauty in working to help those in need. There is indeed a profound beauty in serving the Living God.
