We don’t marry the right person for us. We get married and together become the right person for each other.

If you want gains in a happy, healthy, fruitful, and enduring marriage, then you can’t lose the gains that only forgiveness can bring you.

But it is often easier to walk away from hurt and offense than to come face to face with it. Yet we are not free in marriage to forgive. We are bound by the covenant of marriage to forgive.

There’s a power to forgive that is available to us and there’s a power in forgiveness to transform us.
