Not of one us will escape the pain and hurt inflicted on us by others. But we can escape the trap of holding on to our hurt.

When Jesus hung hurting and dying on the cross he didn’t seek revenge. He didn’t demand justice, though he could have. Rather, he asked for forgiveness.

Revenge and justice don’t have the power to change the world or a life. But forgiveness is a power greater than any other.
