In this sermon we look at three ways that God works in our lives: he works all things together for good, he works all things together for the sake of the bad, and he works all things together for bad for the sake of the ultimate good.
Jesus heals more blind people than any other category of miracle he does. Why? The healings themselves are symbolic of an underlying condition: the hardness of the human heart. It’s a condition that only God can heal, and the only way to accomplish that healing is by sending his Son.
Jesus din’t ultimately come to rescue us from the consequences of our sin, but to save us from our sin. Jesus came to be fully rejected, not by sinners, but for sinners by God on the cross.
